So, I want to get that ancient journal off my page. Well, okay, it's not that ancient, but whatever. I have news.

TWILIGHT, ANYONE?

Okay, first and foremost: I LIKED IT. So news for all those negative critics out there: SCREW YOUR NEGATIVITY!

And seriously? Most of those negative comments center around the fact that they changed a few things in the transition from book to movie. But, have you all been living under rocks? There's no way they'd be able to fit all five hundred+ pages of that into a two hour movie. No way. So of course they had to condense things a bit. Personally, I think they did a great job with the time frame.
-------MOVIE SPOILERS BELOW---------
WHERE WAS MY JAZZYKINS?! THIS MOVIE NEEDED MORE JACKSPER. YES, YES IT DID. WHERE WERE ALICE AND HIM AT THE PROM? cries- and all that hotel stuff they cut out? Wahhh. He lost so many lines. Like, when they were in Edwards room. He and Alice shouldve come in to announce the baseball game. And, and, and lhedjkhkdsjbkjb wanted more jazzy-
The beach scene bothered me a bit, considering how Jacob scammed on telling the tales. And where was Ste
the Benefici guy? (Carlisle's made up vampire guy, yeah) And what happened to Carlisles past? And, and, and Edwards weird way of talking. EDWARD DOESNT SAY sorta gotta kinda he ENUNCIATES. PROPER GRAMMAR.
And I thought the prom was supposed to be held in the gym? Do you want me to lock the door so you can massacre the townsfolk? And the whole into the forest/meadow scene wasnt really done the way I wanted it.
Ohyeah. Edward no longer sparkles, he SHIMMERS.
Besides that though? It was good.
Despite the fact that I dont like the guy they chose for Charlie, he did a good job. And we were all almost in tears when Bella flipped on him. Mike was hilarious, though him talking like a gangster? Haha, whaaat? So, you and Cullen huh? yeah I, uh, I dont like it. Haha.
The whole kitchen scene? A-mazing. It was too hilarious. Are you sure she even likes Italian? well, her name is Bella. Thank you, Emmett. We made some italiano for you, Bella. I, uh, well, its just that
I already ate. Rosalie: -breaks the bowl- "Perfect." And then Carlisle just found the whole entire scene so amusing. He started laughing when Bella said "then ...I would become the meal." So he gets an excuse to laugh and starts laughing but then coughs to stop when it gets all awkward.
And the baseball game? Awesome. Jazzys wicked batting skills? Somuchwin. I was squealing like a mad ...person. Gahh. I love himmm. And my mommy was all: he looked like he was in pain the entire time. Whaaaaaaat!? No he didnt! And if he did, it works anyway, since he has problems being around humans, anyway. So there.
From the baseball game forward it was amazing. The fight in the ballet studio and getting there? Loved it. And Emmett on the car. And James getting all pissy when he found out the scent trail was false. Haaha. I borrowed this from your home, I hope you dont mind.
Very visually dynamic.
he never said: is that what makes you so special to Edward? though. Awwah. He got all up in her face though. I thought he was going to kiss her or something.
And then Carlisle and Alice with Edward and Bella over the wound. She takes her belt off to give Carlisle to use as a tourniquet. And then my belt was gone. absolutely DIES- that was priceless!
Those were my thoughts after the midnight showing on Thursday. I saw it again with

and her family yesterday. And I liked it even better.
Still sad about the lack of Jasper but the scenes he WAS in made up for it. Haha, I had a miniature spazz attack when Jasper got up to bat again. (mad batting skillsss) My friend, her mother and brother were cracking up at me. And even the people behind us were like: what the hell? hahaa. I love his and Alice's entrance into the cafeteria. They were dancing! It was too cute. Haha, and stupid Jessica was like: "see that dark-haired one? That's Alice, she's weird. And the blond one that always looks like he's in pain is Jasper." THAT'S BECAUSE HE
IS IN PAIN, MORON. -stabstab-
And their entrance when Edward brings Bella over to meet the family? Heehee. That was totally an Alice entrance. And Jazz walks like a solider into the room. Haha <3 And then Edward's priceless expressions when Alice goes up and hugs Bella, and then tells her she smells nice. He's like: ohgod,
Alice, why are you doing this? Hahaa.
Oh, and the flashback scene where Edward is telling Bella about Carlisle changing him. Carlisle FACE when Edward says: "he hated what he had done" or summat. OhmyGOD, I CRIED. He looked so...broken! DD: -hugs him-
(Peter Facinelli just IS Carlisle, if I haven't mentioned that. He just...
is)
And during the baseball scene? Besides Jack!sper's amazing batting skills, I loved Alice's "...stop!" cry. It was so Alice. She sounded so scared there. And then when the nomad's wanted to play. "I have a wicked curveball." Jackson: "Oh, I think we can take it." hee~! The baseball scene was too amazing. Definitely one of my favorite parts.
Another thing I was worried about was how they were going to fit the soundtrack into the movie. The songs sounded very twilight-esque, but I was still unsure. I was surprised how well they fit them all in though. In a good way. LOVE "Supermassive blackhole" now. It was so perfect for the baseball scene. And I was kind of on the fence when I first heard Bella's lullaby. It wasn't really how I thought of it when I read the book. but when I saw it in the film? So perfect.
I know my mom was really unhappy with the way they handled the special effects, especially in regards to the how sunlight thing. When I first saw the movie, I was kind of disappointed with the sparkle effect, too. But after I saw it a second time, I realized that seriously, that is pretty much how I imagined it to go. I mean, they're described as having skin as hard as marble, right? And that being the reason the sun glints off them the way it does, it makes a lot of sense the way they handled it. I was watching the floor as we walked into the theater (I know, I'm weird. shut up.) and it sparkles under the light like that, like tiny, individual crystals. That's the way they pulled off the effect, and thinking back: it's pretty perfect. I guess it did look a little odd on the first run. But now that I got to see it again, I paid closer attention to the way they did it. And I was pleased.
I loved the scene just before the prom. The confrontation between Jacob and Edward over Bella. That GLARE. Everyone in the theater on Thursday was like: "ohhhhh..." it was hilarious. I was slightly miffed that I didn't get to see Jazz and Alice at the prom, but I loveee the end. Putting Victoria in there was a nice touch.
I didn't really think I'd like Taylor Lautner as Jacob, but he seems perfect for the role now. Especially that end scene that I mentioned up there. When he comes out of the woods and whatnot. And GEEZ, he has some FANGS man! Haha, he LOOKS wolfish.
My overall thoughts on the cast:
Edward (Robert Pattinson): I...wasn't too sure about him in the beginning. I mean, I don't know. He works for the movie, though. I can see him as an Edward. He still isn't how I pictured Edward, but whatever. It would have been a miracle if they cast someone who DID look like the Edward in my head. (Gaspard Ulliel comes close, though, haha.) But I didn't mind him, I was rather surprised. I think he did well. His speech bothered me just a bit, since he didn't (as I said somewhere up there) articulate everything all the time like in the book. But, eh. win some, lose some, eh? Overall, I liked him more than I thought I would have.
Bella (Kristen Stewart): I wasn't too sure about her, either. She isn't the Bella I picture in my head. The Bella in my head just looks more, I don't know...
meek. but she did okay. It's hard to really picture anyone else in that role, now. She probably could have tripped more, (she did hit Jacob with her truck door, though. haha.) But she did pretty good.
Charlie (Billy Burke): I...he doesn't look ANYTHING like I pictured him. For one, in my head, he doesn't have facial hair. Probably because I have this thing against facial hair, but whatever. Regardless of appearances, he did okay. I was surprised at how sad the scene where Bella and him fight was to me. I was tearing up when he was all: "But I just got you back! I can change. We can...work this out." It was so sad.
Renee (Sarah Clarke): Surprisingly, she looked a lot like how I pictured she would. Short, sort of curly hair. She looked kind of older than I imagined her to be, though. -shrug-
Billy Black (Gil Burmingham): He was spot on.
Jacob (Taylor Lautner): I think he works extremely well for his part, now. I'm interested in how they're going to have him change for New Moon. (which is now official, YESS!)
Jessica (Anna Kendrick): She wasn't how I pictured her, but her personality was, pretty much spot on.
Angela (Christian Serratos): Nothing like I imagined or pictured her, AT ALL.
Mike (Michael Welch): Haha, he was pretty good. Though I still see his hair as spiky and blond. And even though I don't know where his wanna-be gangster attitude came from, it was highly amusing.
Tyler, Eric: Eh, not really how I pictured them, but they're not that important anyway. Haha, sorry.
(Now, the only important people)
Jasper (Jackson Rathbone): I fucking love himmmm. So so much.<33 Even though the Jasper in my head has straight hair, Jackson is Jasper. I love his hair anyway. It's amazing. He is. And him and Ashley Greene are amazing together. dljfbkfjhkfdjs. -incoherency-
Alice (Ashley Greene): ALICE. SHE IS ALICE. that's all there is to it. She looks exactly like the Alice in my head, too.
Carlisle (Peter Facinelli): I've mentioned this: Peter Facinelli = Carlisle Cullen. Yes? Yes. (he looks exactly like the Carlisle in my head, too.)
Emmett (Kellan Lutz): The only thing I had against him was that his hair was curly (or rather, nonexistent-ish) but that doesn't even matter now that I've seen him act. I've never really had a clear picture of Emmett in my head, but whatever it once was is now taken over by him. Because he just IS Emmett.
Rosalie (Nikki Reed): She was alright. Rosalie really wasn't a concern of mine. (Really, I didn't care either way. I don't like Rose very much.)
Esme (Elizabeth Reaser): Not really how I pictured Esme, but she had about...two lines in the entire movie, so it didn't matter very much. Haha, sorry, Esme.
James (Cam Gigandet): Haha, I love this guy. Who cares if James was supposed to be ugly? No one wants an ugly vampire. He was awesome. Very good with the whole evil aura thing.
Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre): I wasn't all that sure about her hair in the beginning. I'd never pictured it curly-ish, and always pictured it a deeper red. but after seeing the movie? She definitely pulls off Victoria.
Laurent (Edi Gathegi): Truthfully, I didn't picture him black. But then again, I don't think anyone did. But he definitely pulled off Laurent well. I don't even know how I pictured him originally, so I'm assuming that's a good thing.
Overall? The cast was absolutely AMAZING. I kind of want to stalk everyone. (coughjacksoncough)
-------END SPOILERS--------
Anyway, I could ramble on and on about Jackson and Ashley and Peter and everyone else all night, but this is long enough as it is and

is about ready to cut my head off if I don't post for Jazz now, so I'm gonna go do that. (surprisingly, I like my head better attached to my body. Shocking, i know.)
And also, everyone is probably sick of me by now, Haha. If you are? Kindly, don't tell me. I enjoy my illusions. (kudos if anyone got that reference there. -doubts it-)
I commend anyone who made it this far without skimming through that, and is taking the time to respond thoughtfully to it. If any of you saw the movie, tell me what you though. I want to discuss! And please, if you're going to comment, don;t just say: "OMGAJKLhsakjh i hated it! everyone should die!" or "OMDFKJHSFKJ it was amazinggg!" Use your head, and tell me WHY, mmkayy?
But seriously, I thoroughly enjoyed it. And plan on seeing it
at least once more in theaters. WHO WANTS TO COME?
I promise, I'm shutting up now.
